Dry Hair and Oily Scalp is also called a “combination hair” usually a major problem to many of us, specially this time when temperature is rising gradually, as well as humidity. For those who have this kind of hair, it is really painful  for them to manage their hair, especially in the humid tropical climate weather just like in India.

The main problem with dry hair with the oily scalp is when you try to make your hair soft with oily or moisturizing products then the scalp becomes more oily. Ans: Summer heat is increasing day by day and the more we sweat, the greasier our hair gets because when our scalp’s oil secretion increase from the sebaceous gland then our scalp becomes more oily. And that produces more sweat on the scalp. The excess oil secretion on the scalp can depend on many reasons, like – humidity, diet, hormonal imbalance during pregnancy, menopause, etc.

For example, oily skin needs proper moisturizer and oil to maintain hydration of the skin. Just like that, the oily scalp also needs oil to maintain the natural oil of the scalp. Also, it nourishes hair roots. You can use good quality cold-pressed coconut oil, mustard oil, almond oil, olive oil, castor oil, etc. Always use paraben and mineral oil, free hair oil.

Always select shampoo according to your hair concern. Do not choose any random shampoo. It may increase your oil secretion and makes hair more greasy.   1. Use baby powder or any normal body powder on the roots of the hair and comb. The powder soaks excess oil from hair and scalp and makes hair so gorgeous.
  2. You can use dry shampoo also. It is a life-saving solution to get rid of greasy hair when you are in a hurry and have no time for hair wash. Just a few spray in hair roots and wait for 1-2 minutes. then comb your hair. It makes your hair so fresh, voluminous and beautiful hair.
  3. If you do not have any dry shampoo or powder then you can use cornstarch just like normal powder. It works beautifully on oily scalp. Soak excess oil and makes hair so good.
