Rosewater is a magic potion for our skin. Any sensitive, acne-prone skin type can use rose water without any doubt. It is a natural astringent. It balances and restores the skin’s pH level which results, tightens open pores and rejuvenates our skin. Rosewater improves skin cells and reduces water loss. That’s why you can use it in dry weather, in the air-conditioned place where your skin becomes dehydrated.

Rosewater is a chemical-free, non-alcoholic toner that’s why you can use it 365 days in a year. It also helps us to remove the leftover of the preceding cleansing process (like removing makeup). Rosewater has a beautiful soothing fragrance that can remove bad odor from the hair. It also helps to reduce the scalp’s oiliness because it has astringent properties. You can use it into your scalp with the help of a cotton or spray bottle, this prevents the formation of dandruff and reduces itchiness of the scalp.

Rosewater can also be used as an aftershave lotion because it has anti-inflammatory properties. Aftershaves are toners, however, because most aftershaves are primarily made of alcohol and perfume, they damage the skin by disturbing the recovery of the mantle, which is destroyed by shaving soap and razor blade use. Also after waxing it works the same. Reduces redness and irritation of the skin and giving a calming effect.

If you want to make your rose water at home, then start with half a dozen good quality scented roses and also you need distilled water. Now in market varieties of hybrid roses are available. You choose the right roses for your rose water which has natural fragrance and colour.

  1. First, cleanse the roses very well with the normal water
  2. Then separate all rose petals and place it in a large container
  3. After that, take a pan and pour distilled water into it and boiled in medium heat
  4. Next place all rose petals into the boiled water and cover the pot by a lid
